Tools of the Trade: Gardening
We find that a garden can be an endless source of pure joy but sometimes it can seem like a hobby so complicated that only those with the natural ability can participate. We all know those people. The ones with the impeccably designed garden beds, full flowering hydrangeas, and a kitchen full of home grown vegetables. For years we have worked on developing our gardening skills and although the information out there is extensive, and as complicated as you can imagine, we don’t think it needs to be this way for everyone. As busy as we are these days, we think when we are able to participate in our hobbies they should be enjoyed as much as possible so if we can eliminate the frustration, confusion, or expectations around the activity, this maximizes the benefit we receive. For gardening in particular we think this starts with having the right tools. No matter if you have acres to tend or an herb box on the porch, having tools that are a joy to use, add beauty on their own accord, and function as they should makes all the difference. We believe that these tools should be simple but of high quality so that their investment is worthwhile. We have put together a list of some of our favorite gardening basics that will serve the novice and expert alike. These tools should get you on your way to enjoying this hobby for all it can offer.
